A perfume discovery set brings together several of a brand’s creations in miniature formats. It allows you to test, compare and choose before treating yourself to a full-size bottle. At MATIERE PREMIERE, each fragrance is built around an overdose of a central natural ingredient and a minimalist formulation. The Discovery Set brings together a selection of 10 of the brand’s fragrances and offers a unique way to explore its various olfactory expressions.

The Maison’s four discovery options
The Eau de Parfum Customisable Set (3 x 6 ml or 6 x 6 ml)
The Custom Set contains 3 or 6 Eau de Parfums in 6 ml sizes, which you can choose yourself from the fragrance collection. The fragrance concentration ranges from 20% to 25%. This format is inspired by the perfumer’s everyday tools, sitting halfway between a sample and a full-size bottle; it is practical for travel and suitable for everyday use. Each 6 ml bottle, complete with its natural atomiser, provides 100 sprays – an ideal size for exploring the fragrances over several weeks.
The Eau de Parfum Discovery Set (10 x 1.5 ml)
Ten samples brought together in a single set offer access to a wide range of fragrances. This format is designed to allow you to experience the fragrance over a few days, compare the olfactory families and identify the signature that best matches your expectations, your personal style, and your desire for freshness or sensuality, before moving on to a full-size bottle.
The Extrait de Parfum Discovery Set (6 x 1.5 ml)
To explore higher concentrations, the Extrait de Parfum Discovery Set offers access to our Extraits de Parfum, with a concentration of between 25% and 30%. The higher the concentration, the greater the quantity of the heart note. Thanks to a guest ingredient selected by the perfumer, the sillage gains in density, the longevity is considerably extended, and the accords are even richer and deeper.
The Custom Set (4 x 1.5 ml or 6 x 1.5 ml)
The Custom Set allows you to choose your own selection of 1.5 ml samples from both the Eau de Parfum collection and the Extrait de Parfum collection.

Each Discovery Set offers a tangible way to experience Aurélien Guichard’s vision. The Founding Perfumer personally cultivates three raw materials in the Grasse region – Centifolia Rose, Tuberose and Lavandin – on Ecocert-certified plots. The entire harvest is dedicated to the Maison’s creations.
The MATIERE PREMIERE style is based on a creative approach centred on the raw beauty of the ingredient: a single natural ingredient used in abundance, a minimalist formulation, an immediate and long-lasting signature, and uncompromising quality. The Discovery Set offers an introduction to these principles through a range of fragrances, from florals to woody notes, from absolutes to the rarest essences, for women or men, without any predefined gender.
Applying the fragrances from the sets to the skin and clothing
The fragrances in the Eau de Parfum or Extrait Discovery Set should be applied to the skin at pulse points: the wrists, the nape of the neck and the crooks of the elbows. Well-moisturised skin retains the fragrance better and prolongs its longevity. The Maison’s moisturisers and cleansers prepare the skin to receive the fragrance.
These fragrances can also be applied to clothing. Textile fibres retain the scent for longer than the skin. A collar, a scarf or a shawl can thus become carriers of the fragrance’s trail. On delicate fabrics, it is advisable to test the fragrance first on an inconspicuous area.
