MATIERE PREMIERE was founded by Aurélien Guichard, a Perfumer based in the Grasse region. He is the only Perfumer in the world to cultivate his own raw materials on Ecocert-certified land. Like all MATIERE PREMIERE products, these gentle cleansers contain between 85% and 92% naturally derived ingredients. They are vegan and free from phthalates and colourants. They do not contain parabens, silicones, mineral oils or petrolatum.
The Hand and Body wash is neither a lotion nor a soap. It is a gentle cleansing gel that is applied to damp skin, lathers on contact with water, and is rinsed off with clean water. The result can be felt to the touch, on both the hands and the skin of the body.
