Our Flower Fields

In 2016, Aurélien Guichard founded an organic (Ecocert) estate in his native Grasse. He is the only perfumer in the world to cultivate his own ingredients. Thousands of rose bushes, tuberose bulbs, and lavender plants are cultivated there, spanning more than six hectares.

ROSE CENTIFOLIA

Every year, we harvest our roses in May, for exactly 30 days. We pick them every morning and immediately take them to the neighboring factory to produce Centifolia Rose Absolute, which is at the heart of RADICAL ROSE in extreme dosage.

On a Grasse terroir, cradle of traditional French perfumery and whose exceptional qualities have been inscribed on the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO, our Ecocert farm boasts more than 15,000 rose bushes. It was these fields of roses planted in 2016 that fueled the idea of creating a Maison de Parfum that would showcase the raw beauty of natural raw materials.

ROSE CENTIFOLIA

“Growing our own flowers is a way of reconnecting with the essence of the perfumer's profession – combining creation and supervision of the quality and production methods of the raw material.”

Tuberose

The tuberose harvest takes place once a year, at the end of summer. Before the onset of winter, we remove the bulbs from the ground and store them in a frost-free place. They are replanted in the first fine days of May. Our flowers produce Tuberose Absolute and Enfleurage, which are at the heart of the FRENCH FLOWER fragrance.

Our tuberose field, planted in 2021, now has more than 50,000 bulbs. The tuberose has an olfactory peculiarity shared by no other variety. By day, this legendary perfume flower reveals its most solar tones, literally revealed by the traditional enfleurage technique, which relies on the power of fatty substances to naturally absorb odors. By night, it projects its most opulent scents up to hundreds of meters away.

TUBEROSE

“Inspired by the intoxicating scent of our field at night, I composed FRENCH FLOWER from an overdose of French Tuberose.”

LAVENDER

Lavandin is a hybrid plant between lavender and spike lavender, particularly well-suited to the estate's terroir and low altitude. More than 10,000 bushes were planted in early 2023, covering more than one hectare. The first extractions have allowed Aurélien Guichard to begin creating a new fragrance, scheduled for launch in 2026.

LAVENDER

“Lavandin has intense, almost camphor-like aromatic notes. Lavender, which grows at higher altitudes, is more floral.”
