About the Company
Accelerate MATIERE PREMIERE’s strategic growth in Asia, with a strong focus on niche perfumery, leveraging deep market expertise and an existing network of key players (distributors, retailers, travel retail operators). This position requires a highly autonomous professional with proven industry knowledge, capable of structuring, driving, and expanding a high-potential region.

Responsibilities
- Business Development & Distribution Strategy
- Implement MATIERE PREMIERE’s commercial and expansion strategy across Asia.
- Manage and grow relationships with distributors, retailers, and niche perfumery partners.
- Identify new business opportunities, particularly in travel retail and emerging markets.
- Negotiate distribution agreements, ensure execution quality, and secure profitability.
- Regularly assess market performance and adjust action plans accordingly.
- Financial Management & Performance
- Build and monitor sales forecasts and country P&Ls.
- Manage marketing budgets (A&P), allocating resources according to strategic priorities.
- Track sell-in/sell-out, monitor stock levels, and analyse performance indicators.
- Project Management & Coordination
- Lead a local team and coordinate commercial partners.
- Collaborate with HQ teams (marketing, supply chain, finance, legal) in a project management framework.
- Oversee product launches, key commercial moments, and trade marketing activities across the region.
- Representation & Market Influence
- Act as the brand ambassador with key partners, at trade shows, events, and showrooms.
- Maintain a strong on-the-ground presence, with frequent travel to priority markets.
- Keep active competitive intelligence on the premium and niche fragrance sector in Asia.
Qualifications
- Education
- Degree from a top-tier business school OR MBA / Specialized Master’s in international business, luxury marketing, or Asia-Pacific Sales management.
- Experience
- 5–8 years in international commercial roles.
- Proven track record in Asia, with in-depth understanding of distribution, retail, and travel retail networks in selective and niche perfumery.
- Active network in the region, with strong connections to key distributors, buyers, and industry influencers.
- Ideally, experience in an independent fragrance house or an emerging, high-positioning brand.
Required Skills
- Expertise in contract negotiations, A&P budget management, and P&L oversight.
- Strong project management, cross-functional coordination, and leadership skills.
- Client-oriented approach, strong commercial acumen, and understanding of discreet luxury.
Preferred Skills
- Fluent English (mandatory).
- French is an asset.
- Proficiency in an Asian language (Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, etc.) is a plus.

Competitive package based on profile: fixed salary + performance-based bonus.
