The rose occupies a central place in the history of perfumery. The finest fragrances often feature Rosa centifolia and Rosa damascena. They come in a myriad of accords, from the sweetest floral compositions to the deepest fragrances.
MATIERE PREMIERE takes an overdose of a raw natural ingredient and builds the entire composition around it. Here, that ingredient is Rose Centifolia Absolute, pushed to its highest possible concentration. The result is a genderless rose, both sombre and luminous.

Centifolia Rose Absolute, grown in Grasse
The Centifolia rose is an iconic flower of the Grasse region. It grows in the Valley of Roses, on land where the French perfume industry has honed its expertise. Aurélien Guichard grows this rose himself, using organic farming methods, on his fields dedicated to MATIERE PREMIERE.
Each harvest is reserved entirely for the Maison’s creations. In May, the flowers are picked by hand every morning and transported to the nearest factory, where they are processed to extract the absolute – the most concentrated form of the ingredient. This direct link between the field and the bottle gives the flower its character and nuance.

A floral signature: direct and radical
Radical Rose belongs to the floral, woody, spicy family. The formulation is simple and direct. The generous dose of Rose Centifolia Absolute takes centre stage, without any artifice. This concentration reveals the flower’s full palette: its floral facets, its darker nuances and its spicy character.
On the skin, Radical Rose’s signature remains vibrant from start to finish. Its sillage lingers for hours after application.
